Very sad news from the Canadian West Coast...
A Pacific Coastal Airlines (an airline I have flown several times) Grumman Goose crashed near the Northern Tip of Vancouver Island in BC, Canada ~ killing 5 of the 7 people on-board.
The link below has the full story & a video report.

That is really too bad.
I flew on a 340 with them to Vancouver Island a few summers ago. I always wanted to fly on one of those amphibians.
Thoughts and prayers to the families and friends who lost loved ones.

Heard about this last night via a buddy of mine. Sad news indeed, I was just watching a PasCo goose taking off a couple days ago and thinking that would be cool to go flying on some time. Hopefully they can find the cause soon and prevent it from happening again.

My thoughts and prayers to the victims and families.
Pacific Coastal flies an interesting fleet of planes, that provides needed service around British Columbia. I do hope this tragedy doesn't damage Pacific Coastal's long term reputation.

I flew with them from Vancouver to Port Hardy in 2004. Great little airline and I enjoyed my ride on the Shorts. Sad to hear about this accident.

Quoting YVRLTN (Reply 6): Report from RCMP - rego is incorrect though, I would say it is C-GPCD
It looks like you're right - I just saw an aerial view of the crash site on the evening news and there was a bald eagle painted on the tail, exactly like that seen on a photograph of C-GPCD on our local aviation forum.
