On Thursday afternoon (7 August) just before 1600 hrs this aircraft operated by Spanish operator Lagunair arrived at BHX:

It was wearing the livery in the above photo with the addition of a red logo on the tip of its nose and with additional titles under its cockpit window.

The last three words of these additional titles were "Aeropuerto de León" which I understand is Lagunair's home base.

I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know what an aircraft operated by this regional Spanish domestic airline was doing at BHX?

2. Does anyone know the wording of the small titles above "Aeropuerto de León" that I failed to decipher.

Thanks for any help.

Wild guess here but it might have brought a football team from Spain over for a pre-season friendly. Osasuna played a few games over in England during the last week so could it have brought them?

Not "wild" but "intelligent". Thanks. Any better offers?

Here's an answer to part of your question...

It was a charter from Pamplona.

After operating in, it positioned back out to Leon.

Certainly was football related - Osasuna were playing Stoke City (not too far away from BHX)

Osasuna also played Hull City today which explains the HUY-Pamplona flight this evening (PVG5532)

By the way, as these were operated as with PVG flight codes, then it was not Lagunair operating in their own right, rather they were subcharters for Privilege Style.
