Hi all

Watching UK Channel 4 last night I saw the BMI advert for the first time.

Part of the advert showed the A330 in flight so it must have taken off from somewhere.

Anyone seen it yet?

Regards

Hi!

I saw it last night. Livery looks better on the A330 than on the smaller planes. I like the slogan "Civil Aviation."

Does anyone know the expected delivery dates of the A330 to BMI?

cheers, Phil.

I see them on Sky as well. I have seen two different one so far. The livery does look better on the A330, though I'm sure its a computer image.

Hi all!

Since there is no A330 in the new BMI livery yet, it must be a computer image.

Best regards

It's so unfair!
I keep on only seeing the end shot (where the 'civil aviation' slogan pops up), and that's all i've seen.

I'd better start watching more tv...

will they go on a tour of the UK with the new plane or will it be straight to LHR then on to MAN or will it come to EMA, GLA, etc

I hadn't thought that they might do a promotional tour to raise awareness of the US flights, but it would be great for us in the south who won't see their A330s in London.
I want to know where pilot training will be to/from?

Many of the UK airlines use Prestwick for crew training. I would expect to see the bmi 330s there at some point.

Virgin A340s are regular visitors at the moment it seems

N175dz:
The dates have slipped from original plans. Expect two by end April, the third in May. The second of the three is to be op by Scandinavian.

Worldtraveller:
Correct, its a computer image.

BDRules/Englandair:
The aircraft will be late out of Toulouse, so there will be no time for a tour before they enter service. The route proving flights are ex-MAN.

Englandair/Scotty:
Crew training is largely already done courtesy of Airtours this last winter.

398 A330-243 G-WWBM
401 A330-243 G-WWBD
404 A330-243 G-WWBB

Anyway the first aircraft is in Star Alliance colours for use by SAS.
