I thought some of you might want to see this video I found on youtube.com. It is a bunch of different shots of the approch over Kowloon City at the old Kai Tak. It really makes me bummed out that I never was able to see it with my own eyes.
I'm sure a number of you have seen it, or something similar however I still thought some would be interested.

Great videos. Could you imagine being a tourist in that neighborhood, not knowing about Kai Tak's proximity and then being surprised by one of those low fly-overs? I think I would $hit myself!

I flew that Kaitak approach once every 6 months from 1980 - 1994. It was one of the... No let me rephrase... It is THE best landing approaches one can ever experience in your lifetime and I did it so many times. I am glad.

Boyd has some pretty cool videos from Kai Tak, but sadly he pulled my favourite one, which was shot on the last night of Kai Tak and showed the entire approach from Cheung Chau, around the island of Chek Lap Kok, over the new airport and following the IGS before making the 47 degree turn over a sea of flashes going off.
The video is still up, but he removed the background music (Steam - Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye) which I thought made it even better.

You're right he removed the Steam and subbed in something else...I too thought the Na na na hey hey music was perfect for that approach. He must have had some issue that made him remove it.
