I read in a newspaper today that Canjet is losing money.
It did'nt give an exact amount, but did say that it was a few million a month, which is a lot for small company. Also, it was reported that CEO and president Ken Rowe was secretly looking for buyers for the company.
They are losing money on the 732's that they have long leases on, as well as other areas.
I don't know what passenger loads are like at other places, but here at YYT, loads are fairly light, in some cases there are less than 30 pax come off a flight and about the same number go back on. Don't get me wrong, sometimes they have larger loads, but for the most part they are not consistant.
Loads on our flights at AC are still strong out of YYT. Our morning A320 to YYZ usually has 100+ pax.
Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Heard it today on the news actually. they are saying about 2 million a month. I have to agree on the loads, really small. and the planes leasing is not all that good either. Oh well. Sorry to hear that. I wonder if Air Canada will snatch up this airline, or will it be allowed. they say that they do want to start their own discount carrier and this would be a good start for them seeing that they already have a good route structure started. Well only time will tell.
