Guys, need your help with a bet, its worth $50 to me.

A friend of mine told me that he flew DFW-SLC-SUN on AA out of DFW and American Eagle SLC to SUN. I told him no way!!!! This was 3years ago in the summer.

I am sure that AA/AE dont fly SLC-SUN and never have done.

Any help you can give will be appreciated..............

Your friend is incorrect. I believe SkyWest flew SLC to SUN for DL.

Eagle flew DFW-BOI on a CR7 for a while. Could he be confused?

Here is SkyWest's route map for SLC -

Yeah...the only city AA/AE every came close to SUN is BOI. I believe Skywest and QX are the only carriers serving SUN...even back then.

If I remember correctly, OO has flown the SLC-SUN route exclusively for many years and only this summer has anybody else even flown into SUN (QX) from any other airport.

I know 3 years ago OO was flying the the SLC-SUN route, I suspect your friend flew AA DFW-SLC and then DL/OO from SLC-SUN. He would have arrived I bet in the A concourse and walked over to the E concourse.

Yep, AA codeshare is only available via LA (on Horizon seasonally). Many moons ago both Horizon and SkyWest flew SLC to SUN, but not in the last 3 years. It is also possible that they flew AA from Dallas to SLC but SkyWest to SUN. Good luck collecting on the fifty bucks!

Well, having lived there (and have family there), SkyWest is the only airline that flies SLC-SUN. Horizon flies other routes into SUN, but not SLC-SUN. In the almost 9 years that I have had family there, those are the only airlines that actually flew there.

Note: SUN is about 30 minutes away from Sun Valley. It is actually in the middle of Hailey.

OO runs, on average, ten SLC-SUN daily roundtrips on the Brasilia.

I don't think you're completely correct. QX has been flying to SUN from the Pacific Northwest for years. They had seasonal flights from SFO using F-28 aircraft years ago as well. Now, the Q400's make the run to LAX and OAK (seasonal).

OO has also been flying to SUN for years from SLC...that has been exclusive for years.

Did any of the short-lived airlines fly there at one time like Gem State, Empire, Big Sky or Cascade?
