AirUnion earthbound as payment issues force airports to act
The AirUnion alliance has been nearly completely grounded after Moscow's Domodedovo airport refused to service the aeroplanes of member airlines.

Domodedovo followed the example of the Krasnoyark airport, because alliance airlines have been unable to pay fuel suppliers. Seven flights are currently awaiting departure from Krasnoyarsk on Thursday morning. There is speculation the alliance could stop flying altogether

One more problem for them......

Are they still flying the Domodedovo Il-62 fleet?

I would expect these groundings will have a devastating effect on Antaly charters..
Currently high-season for Russian tourists in Turkey ( they don't need visas..) -so Hotels are filled with Russians ans quite a lot of them came with metal under Airunion-banner..

Maybe not such a good choice to pick them as would-be Star Alliance partner in Russia after all?
