LAN Cargo will begin 767-300 frieghter service from their Miami hub to both Guatemala City and San Jose, Costa Rica this September:

http://lta.reuters.com/article/businessNews/idLTAN2218778220080822

From their Miami hub, LAN Cargo also flies to Amsterdam, Campinas/Viracopos (Brazil), Curitiba, Frankfurt, Porto Alegre, and Santiago de Chile.

In 2009, with the arrival of their 777 freighters, LAN Cargo is planning to inaugurate non-stop cargo service between Miami and Shanghai.

Indeed looks that this is the end for the Florida West-LAN Cargo Association, giving way to the rumors behind the creation of LAN Compañía Carguera de Colombia.

Affirmative, but it was announced in March 2007. The route will be SCL-MIA-ANC-PVG or MIA-LAX-ANC-PVG.

I was thinking that there would be a tech stop somewhere, as MIA-PVG is quite far for the 777 freighter. Thanks for clarifying.

Does LAN Cargo erve any destinations from Santiago? or is MIA their only hub?

SCL is their main hub, but MIA has a huge LAN presence. LAN Cargo operates daily cargo flights into MIA from all over Latin America. SCL-MIA daily, SCL-MIA-AMS 2x weekly, EZE-MIA 3x weekly, EZE-LIM-MIA 2x weekly, AMS-FRA-MIA-SCL 2x weekly, VCP-MIA 3x weekly; plus CCS, GIG, MAO, ASU, MVD, LAX, etc. The list goes on and on, but MIA is indeed one of, if not already, their largest Cargo hub. It's also a major focus city for LAN Airlines, which flies from MIA-SCL, EZE, UIO-GYE, PUJ, CCS, BOG, and LIM.

Related to cargo operations in San Jose, LAN Cargo will complement the service offered by several carriers from MIA.
The market-share has been regularly attended this year by United Parcel Service, Florida West Airlines, Capital Cargo International , DHL Aero Expresso and Arrow Air.

Regards.

Wasn't LAN Cargo operating PTY as regular destination ?
It is solidly displayed onto LAN Cargo's website, unless PTY is served by means of MAS Air exclusively.

Further information will be appreciated !
Regards.

LAN flies to some very exotic Islands in the Pacific, like Tahiti, French Polynesia, the Chilean territory of Rapa Nui, hopefully to the Galapagos soon, and of course SCL-AKL-SYD daily. On the Atlantic side they fly Punta Arenas - Mount Pleasant. And LAN operates into the Caribbean as well, PUJ, HAV, and CUN. MIA-PUJ 2x weekly.

What about LAX-NRT-PVG?. NRT is within the 777F range and both Asian markets might be covered.
