Hi Julien,

If you live in Belgium, there is an interesting book about Sabena : SABENA "Pionniers de l'Aviation depuis 70 ans" LANNOO Editions. The book is only in Franch and Dutch.
You find in this book the Sabena's story and a section with all the Sabena aircraft's types from the beginning until 1993.
Regards, Laurent.

Unfortunately, that book is out of print, Lhb. I've been looking for it, as well... It's not even available from SN's Headquarters.

Good luck locating a copy, though, Julien.M.

Best regards,

TriStar.

I've worked for Sabena from 96 till 98. Most of the aircrafts I've worked on are now sadly gone. That's what I can remember right now (some of them were leased in but all were painted in Sabena colors):

DC10s
OO-SLA/SLB/SLC/SLD/SLE/SLG/SLH/D-ADJO
A310s
OO-SCA/SCB/SCC/F-OHPQ (Operated all-white)
B747s
OO-SGA/SGB/SGC/SGD/F-GCBB/F-GSUN

I unfortunately don't know all the registrations of all the aircrafts by hard but here is the list of aircrafts painted in Sabena colors and operated on their network, some from the early years might be missing:

B707-329
B707-329C
B727-29
B727-29C
B737-229
B737-229C
B737-329
B737-429
B737-529
B747-129 (Later converted to 747-129SCD)
B747-228C (Leased from AF)
B747-329C

B767-300 (Operated by Sobelair)
A310-200
A310-300
A319-100
A320-200
A321-200
A330-200
A330-300
A340-200

It's my national company too...héhé (I live in Brussels)

When I'm looking on the net for old aircrafts and old regisrations...it's not really easy!

Acctualy my first intention was to find what were the aircrafts (registrations) based at EBBR since its beginning! and that begin by looking what were SN's fleet.
you see so if you can tell me what were all their registrations...it will be wonderful.
I don't think you can do that...so if you have an idea about where to look at...at the Sabena? (will they give me that?)

I already write to "L'administration de l'Aeronautique" but I don't hope a lot from them!

C-ya, Salut, Totziens.
