I'll bet this has already been discussed on here extensively, but can someone tell me when Emirates launches A380 service from JFK to DXB, or provide a link with previous discussions on this?

According to Amadeus, the route launches daily from 01 October 2008.

Service began August 1 and is every three days, IIRC. Daily begins October 1 when they get their second aircraft.

I read that EK reduced prices due to the decrease in oil prices,, hope oil reachs $70, where we can fly anywhere easily.

EK has long claimed a shortage of capacity to both LHR and JFK. For JFK, the A380 helps lower CASM while increasing lift. However.. I would be curious to know the actual load factors in this economy.

Don't be so quick to comment...if you go to book a flight on their website, it only shows A380-800 on DXB-JFK, not JFK-DXB which is being shown on a B777-300.

Anyone know where the A380 goes after JFK? I would have thought it was right back to DXB?

Yes, it makes a round-trip DXB-JFK-DXB. Arrives at JFK approximately 1415hrs Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, as EK201 and departs 2300hrs the same day as EK202. Beginning Oct 1, it becomes daily service.

Oh OK maybe I happened to select dates returning to DXB where the A380 was not operating. Thanks!
