I have heard for some time that TP is going to start a service to miami in a near date, however i think it is going to be seasonal service operated by the 332, and i have heard this from tap pilots and workers but they never said it is certain, just rumors....so can anyone confirm if this is true at all ?

Quoting JJ8080 (Reply 2): Well, their long-haul fleet is a little streched right now, they may have to add something to the fleet in order to start new long-haul services. IIRC, they don't have any more 332s on order.
When do those A350's come around?
How much slack is there is there in the long haul fleet anyways?

Quoting Airbazar (Reply 4): It's not TAP. It's a charter service to MIA and MCO operated by White.
This was discussed a few months ago here on a.net.
That is entirely different than what the OP is referring to. That service started, but the two flights were merged into an FLL-LIS service.
The OP is referring to TAP, who have met with MIA officials in the past few weeks, though everything is very early in the planning stages and I would not expect anything to come out of this in the near future. TAP is considering MIA service.
