I have tried to search with the search engine and the first few pages of posts and found nothing. I find it strange, because the situation was apparently resolved an hour ago, after an ordeal of 5 hours or so on the ground and stuck on the plane.
What details I got, were very brief on Hart van Nederland this evening. Does anyone have any more info on what happened. I saw the incident from the outside, and wondered what was going on.
The details as I have understood is that after boarding, starting up and a VERY short taxi, the aircraft stopped on the apron and shut down. Passengers were told that due to heavy air traffic they would be delayed around 30 mins, and then various stories. Then the pax were allowed to disembark a total of 5 hours later, and three pax were removed by police in blindfolds.
The flight was a charter en route to Bodrum in Turkey.
Anyone have any more details??? I managed only this link so far...
It says that a phone call was received, and it was considered an attempted hijacking. It says it is not yet known what the link is between the phone call and the arrests. The link posted above also says one of the three arrested has since been released.

Quoting AirKas1 (Reply 5): Today I heard via-via-via that there were indeed 'weapons' found..
I heard the same, but these were found at the houses of the persons arrested, not in the airplane. However, a lot of stories are going around, so I can't confirm either version of the story.
We'll wait and see what happens in the next few hours and what kind of news comes out of this. I would like to say, however, that the Dutch are normally very tight lipped on this kind of cases. Remember the persons arrested in Rotterdam during New Years Eve? We only heard some bits of what happened and after that it was completely silent for weeks untill a judge said that there wasn't enough evidence.
If it was a hijack attempt, the local authorities acted swiftly! Good to take the phone call to 112 serious. Let's hope the scare is over for now!
