It will get very very hard for them to come back, not only due to their internal problems but also due to the bad economy, high fuel prices and Thailand's political unstability, which is peaking again as we speak.
Wondering also about Nok Air...pretty sure that Thai Air Asia will make it.

Yes they are.
I saw their departure to HKG listed on the screens in BKK on the 24th.
I also saw the 747 being pulled by the tug to the gate.
Not a great sight though, comparing to all the other much better looking planes around.

Since Nok Air is a part of Thai Airways, I would imagine they should be fine. Do they release the performance of Nok Air to the public or is it buried in Thai?
