Last Gulfstream EMB-120 Flight?

Hey everyone,

With Gulfstream (Continental Connection) retiring their last EMB-120 at what I believe was the beginning of August, does anyone know what the last flight was?

From what I understand (and my very good friend and mentor is the VP of Corp Development), it is due to the cost and complexity of having multiple fleets, especially with how fuel is at. The vast majority of the local markets that they fly are very "thin" and are profitable on 1900s by like 1 pax. There really isnt a whole lot of extra demand to warrant the larger aircraft with higher expenses.

right now they're sitting outside the hangar in FLL.

I've heard from a broker that they have sold 7 of them, which leaves them one.

The Brasilias have been a lil bit of a nightmare for Gulfstream, you can visit abacoforum.com and read on some of the massive delays caused by our Brasilian over-engineered Nightmare. I think Gulfstream realized it may be more cost effective to fly 19 pax on time rather than try to fly 22 - 30 4 hours late.

Their CEO also said in an investors teleconference that the 120's were a maintenance burden with parts increasingly hard to find, which no doubt relates directly to their lack of dispatch reliability.

That's a shame. I've flown in a few EMB-120's and I thought they were a pretty good airplane.
