I know this has been brought up before and the answers were all speculative (or sarcastic), but does ANYBODY have any information on what the name of this aircraft will really be? For whatever the reason, QF is intentionally not revealing the name and perhaps someone "in the know" may actually know...

I read on another web site that the plane would be named "Uluru", which is also the name of that gigantic sandstone structure in Australia (a.k.a. Ayers Rock). The source said he got it from inside QANTAS marketing group. I claim no knowledge of any of this. I am just sharing what I've read.

I thought the A380s will be named after aviation pioneers, like VH-OQA

Just my speculation - maybe the name is a secret because it will relate to a special colour scheme (similar to but not the same as 'Wunula Dreaming').

Any plans for the revival of Nalanji Dreaming from VH-EBU to one of the new A380s? That would be stunning! They transferred Wunala from VH-OJB to VH-OEJ so it can always be a possibility!  Wink

There are some pictures of "OQB" starting to surface on various web pages, but they are too distant. However, the livery appears to be the standard version...

That would be nauseating!!!!

I hope they do a special scheme but I'd prefer a retro scheme reprising the '70s Qantas scheme in preference to another from the "Dreaming" series.
