United flying it would be news to me. In 2007 (last time I did SFO PVR) only Alaska was direct.

I just searched United, there is a single flight on Friday from DEN to PVR, returning on Saturday. United.com only offers SFO -> DEN -> PVR or SFO -> LAX -> DEN -> PVR.

SFO-PVR has been around for a while. A couple friends of mine who are UA Premiers take it all the time for the mileage accumulation-not the service (since it's always been Ted).
It will be nice for them once they offer a C cabin once they start to re-configure their Ted 320s.
(I believe in November UA service DEN-PVR will be operated with mainline 319s instead of Ted 320s (one example of the forthcoming changes).
Will MX utilize 319s on this route as they do from LAX? Usually MX "right sizes" each flight according to loads and you'll see them rotating from 318, 319s 320s all the time. Rarely does a flight operate with the same a/c each day it operates. I think this is a good thing for them. More carriers should do this.

They will be flying their A320 on this route. But as stated, depending on the loads and seasons, this may fluctuate.

And I figured out why I couldn't find UA flights ... because the SFO <-> PVR flight is done by TED without First class.
Check prices on MX and AS for Jan 10, coming back 17. AS wants $1,104.10, same they want for a flight in September (about 2 weeks from now) and is about the same what I paid in Jan 2007. MX wants over $2,400. Guess I stay with AS.
