Cancelled FlyGlobespan SFB-GLA Flight.

Just heard that GSM726 Sanford-Glasgow flight (18.30hrs 30th August) has been cancelled. My two nephews were due to be on this flight. Just wondered if anyone had any insight into the reason for the cancellation.

One of the 767's had a technical fault and was AOG in YYC, this had a knockon effect to crew hours hence the SFB running late. Hasn't been cancelled as such but just very delayed until the early hours of the 1st Sept I believe.

Nephews have said it's cancelled, and they are being put up in the Sheraton, but certainly looks like a delay scenario as opposed to cancellation given that they expect the flight to go tomorrow, albeit a lengthy delay.
Sounds more like an extra day of holiday to me!  Big grin

The majority of Globespan flights are delayed. I know a neighbour of mine who booked DUB-YVR it was 5 hours delayed and he got a call from Glasgow to say his return is cancelled and the flight is going 2 days later. Still by Globespans standards its customer service  Yeah sure

I am usually the first to have ago at GSM but of late there on time performance has improved and compared to last years nightmare operation this year especially the shorthaul and YHM services are much improved
