Gulf Air Orders More 787s

It seems Gulf Air has signed a deal to order eight additional 787s from Boeing. This is an exercise of eight options they placed with their order earlier this year. Here is some good news for Boeing today.

They must really love this plane. They're at the tail-end of the current delivery schedule as-is, and now they may see even more delays, and yet they keep on adding.

I agree. Plus they ordered this plane shortly after a plan to go to an all Airbus fleet.

I know you are waiting as patiently as possible. Smile

If they have announced their orders for the A330 engines, then I would expect that manufacturer to earn the 787 order. ( likely the ever popular Trent family.) I believe there has been several orders for Trents on 787s and A330s within the same airline.

As far as I have seen you are correct. As NYC777 has said, this would put the 787 orders over 900 (903 I believe).

Boeing press release clarifies what was signed was an LoI. Not yet a firm order (as of today).

The best time to plant a tree is 40 years ago. The second best time is today.

And that's about it.

I had thought there were more. But with the massive influx of A330 orders as of late, I believe there will be more.

Yes., and I agree the number PM mentioned (903) is correct when this order is included.
