I know that both the Brewers and Class AA Royals use YX MD-81's for their charters. With the mad dogs on the way out, will the Brewers continue to use YX. I know the rest of their road trips are well with in the range of 717's.

Thanks in Advance

According to the rumor, the two planes configured in club style seating (I believe they are 804 and 805) will remain in service through the baseball season. After that they will join the other MD's in retirement.

Thanks for the info.

I guess we will see NW chartering the Brewers or FL next year.

The two charter planes 804 & 805 are going away with the other ones. They need some heavy maintenance and YX will not pay for it. They will use two different planes until such time as they can find someone to take over the charters they already have contracts for. We are told they have been trying to find someone to take them over but aren't having much luck. Look for YX to operate 2 MD-80's for charters until April 2009 but it wont be the two they are currently using. Only a few have any time left on them without the need for a heavy check.

NW? You mean DL next year?

Any chance those are 809 and 810 up at the Skyway hangar? They repositioned them from nose to the doors to side by side, facing east today.

Yeah, I was just wondering which 2 80's would remain with YX doing the charters. I've gotten a good look at 809 and 810. Sorry for being confusing in my previous statments.

Yes my bad there.
I wonder if FL will try and do the charters for the Brewers. A great way to your name out to the 3 million or so fans that will be the Brewer games in 09.
This would be just anohter way to pick a piece of the YX business. Another slap at Timmies face.

They have DD Donald Driver as spokesman as well up here.

It won't be either of them. They are already timed out for some maintenance. That is why they have been parked already. The last two through heavy check were 822 and 823 but I think they will be gone first and won't be sticking around. GECAS probably will be able to find a home for them. Hard to believe they will all be parked here in a few hours.

Well, I hate to hear that about 804 and 805. I have had the pleasure of being onboard 804 twice and both times had a great time collecting photos. 804 was always the charter for the Predators NHL team here.
