It was today announced that Flyglobespan shall be starting a once weekly service every Sunday from Cardiff to Hamilton, this will be replacing Zoom's twice-weekly service to YYZ!

I did notice on their website that they've dropped their BRS-YHM route though? Was the route not performing? I'm just wondering why they've dropped one base and opened another that's no more than 30 miles away?

Also, does anyone know what equip they'll be using? Will it be the 757 or 767? I'm reeeally hoping for a 763!

Pray that you don't get a 737 any time soon on that route, even if it's tech cover!

It was always bloody late.

BRS again can't keep a Canadian flight but CWL need all flights they can get.

Slow, fat, and ugly but I love 'em - Long live the Shed!

The difference between YHM and YZ is immense. Imagine the difference between walking down Cardiff highstreet, and then down Electric Avenue, Baghdad (Iraq).

The difference might only be thirty miles, but Hamilton is out of the way of the city and getting back up into Toronto itself can be a nightmare, especially if you have to rely on public transport to do it.

I travel to Toronto a lot, and one of the reasons I've never flown Globespan is because they've never flown into Pearson itself.

Personally, I believe this could work out well for them: with the unfortunate demise of Zoom and their new found landings at Pearson, it might encourage a few more passengers.

You seem a bit confused. The 30 miles is from BRS to CWL, not YYZ to YHM.

Just re-read the original post. Must have gotten a bit ahead of myself. I knew something didn't seem quite right!

Thanks for pointing it out!

I think BRS was seasonal anyway.
