Hoping someone might be able to help me out with this.
At the start of lunch today I took notice of an oddly colored CRJ2 on approach (pretty sure it wasn't a GEX, but did look like it could be private) - it had a bright blue bottom and a white top - actually looked a bit like BMI upside down.
Over an hour later, coming out of lunch I noticed this same aircraft on short final, gear was up and it was going much faster than usual for a CRJ in this stage of approach. The aircraft then did an early go-around. After go-around, I watched it's gear go down and then up and then it circled and did the same thing again - no gear, too fast, go around.
It did this 2 more times on my 5 minute drive back to my office and who knows how many after that. That's the other thing, no other a/c activity on this approach and it seemed to turn around pretty quickly.
Anyone have a clue what this could be? Maybe having trouble with the gear? Maybe practicing go-arounds?

Quoting BAalltheway (Reply 3): But why would they do an approach with no gear and after the go-around drop then retract the gear (assuming all the gear came down when I saw it.)?
They were probably checking the missed procedure, so they kept the gear up. There are many parts to an approach that need to be checked.
