Heads up for MSY spotters/enthusiasts. FedEx is now running scheduled DC-10 service into New Orleans (replacing the A300) from both Memphis and Atlanta. It looks like the a/c is doing MEM-MSY-ATL, and then ATL-MSY-MEM. Not sure if the MSY-ATL-MSY segment is a permanent addition...I don't remember FX ever flying this segment on a scheduled basis before. Anyone in FX know what's up with the recent capacity increases in MSY?

If you look close at your picture you will see it says MD10 on the aircraft. Just a piece of trivia is that all flight plans for the MD10 are now filed as a DC10. ICAO does not recognize the MD10 type.

FX has increased a number of domestic markets, MSY is no exception. BNA see's a regular MD-11 and other cities are seeing bigger planes. I would say people are getting good deals on shipping with FX.
