I will be flying from Johannesburg (JNB) to Nairobi (NBO) and then on to Entebbe (EBB), Uganda, on 18 March with Kenya Airways. Equipment for the flight will be an A310-300 and also 732/3 for the second leg. Does anyone know what kind of service I can expect from this airline? Also, is there any indication of what caused KQ's A310 to crash of the Ivory Coast last year? Does it appear to be mechanical or human error? I suppose that the KQ equipment is well maintained through partnership with KLM, but is disconcerting to know that the same airline had a crash with the same equipment fairly recently. Thanks for any responses.

I also just flew with KQ from Nairobi to Amsterdam on their 767 and while not flying with them for several years, I must say they have kept their standard! It definately is a European standard airline, so you are going to have a pleasant time with them. Nothing special, but a competitive effort!
SAA is also a very high standard airline but I am sure KQ stands the comparison...
I haven´t heard the cause for the accident but let´s keep in mind that even Singapore Airlines just had a severe accident and yet, they are one of the best airlines in the world.
Have a nice trip!
