Spotter Alert: CRJ1000 To IWA/AZA For Heat Test

If anyone is interested, Bombardier is flying the new CRJ1000 out to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA/AZA) for some heat tests today. They should arrive around 10:00am local time. They'll do a heat soak for a few hours and will probably leave by the end of the afternoon. Great chance to see this up close.

It's here and parked right by the FBO in their transient military area. Just go to the Admin building at 5835 S Sossaman Rd and it's sitting right there between admin and the FBO. There is a nice grassy hill that you can stand on that gets your line of sight above the fence line.

I believe it just flew over my house (7:40pm) in Queen Creek on final into IWA. Hard to see in the dark but had CRJ nav lighting config and looked pretty long. Night hop?
