Pacific Blue announced today that they will start flying to Direct to Denpansar Bali from
Adelaide 2 flights a week , Perth 4 flights a week , Brisbane 5 Flights a Week
After Garuda pulled out and Air Paradise went bust there have been no direct flights from Queensland to Bali for the last couple of years and this route will definately go off.

Australian's may not love Bali soon if the new modesty laws are introduced (no bakini's) in Indonesia. This may not be the best time to be launching services afterall.
We will have to wait and see. Great to see that ADL got some services, as I definately think they deserve better air services.

Quoting 777ER (Reply 2): When I heard about DJ adding Bali several weeks ago, I was under the impression that New Zealand was going to get some Bali routes also.
what equipment does DJ have that would be feasible to operate on New Zealand to Bali services ?

I thought those modesty laws got thrown out a while ago. I haven't heard anything about them recently.

Quoting Tayser (Reply 10): Front and back page ads in MX in Melbourne for this today. ADL-DPS will be the shortest route for people here or up in Sydney.
Never thought the day would come that you'd have to transfer through Adelaide, eh?

yeah, but just had a quick look at their site, the only way you can use the ADL service is coming back, havent been able to get an outbound flight via ADL. It's all BNE and PER and the travel times are between 9 and 12 hours!
Pity though, cos ADL's airport is probably the best for connections out of the three (based purely on the fact that everything's under one roof and it's the shortest path for people in the SE corner of the country).
