I'll be headed up to Toronto tomorrow for the weekend, and I just wanted to ask our resident spotters at YYZ if there's any aircraft in particular that I should be on the lookout for. That is, beyond the sea of green, red & white Air Canada planes.

Also, a question--does anyone know when Air Ontario has their Dash-8-300s flying out of YYZ, and into which terminal they fly? Every time I go out to the commuter gates at T2 (admittedly in the morning and late night), all I see is Dash-8-100s and CRJs. I know that they used to fly at least one flight into BWI using the D83, but I don't think I've ever seen one in person.

I'm not from Toronto (thank goodness  Smile(sort of kidding)), but I can tell you that AirOntario flies domestic flights out of YYZ Terminal 1, and US flights out of Terminal 2. Dash8-300's are probably more likely on domestic flights, although you should also see them on some US flights as well.

Also, I believe the first few RootsAir A320's are now at YYZ, you may want to see if you can catch a glimpse of them.

You can try to drive around the airport and at one end, you are bound to find a row of 727s parked side by side with their tails sticking out of the fence. Also, be on look for some huge aircrafts such as 777, 747s, etc. The best time to see international airlines is during the day.

Thanks much, everyone! I'm only going to be dashing in and out of the airport tomorrow, so I won't have much time for spotting, but I'll keep an eye peeled for the aircraft mentioned.

Thanks again!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
