The TAP livery is a rare example of a 20-year old livery still being OK. I don't think the c/s is that outdated, however TAP does need to at least modernize it. I think since Portugal is a southern, warm country they need a more striking, "summer" look.
Someone said that that got to stay away from SR. I can't understand why TAP joined the alliance (Qualiflyer) in the first palce. To me they just don't fit in it. TAP could be a good addition to a GLOBAL alliance with their decent route network in S. America and flights to some rather exotic African destinations.

Some elements are quite good but some are very outdated. Since a year I'm trying to convince TAP to restyle its corporate identity and so its colourscheme. I think I might to push them harder because more people, like you, are getting convinced that the airline becomes outdated. Thank you for stimulating me.

They need to do away with the cheatline. I think they should shift the same colors to the top of the fuselage above the windows, extending from nose-to-tail (think Northwest's top red fuselage). Now, from the windows to the belly of the planes should be gray. "TAP AIR PORTUGAL" should appear in billboard type across the gray lower half of the plane.
