This topic has already been discussed in another thread called "Status Of KLM's MD-11's" and "KLM MD-11 Question". However I believe both have been archived and I don't know how to link them.
According to the KLM website;
"At the end of 2008, the entertainment system in the MD11s will be renewed. Then seats in both the World Business Class and the Economy Class will be equipped with a personal screen with an on-demand video system, games, text messaging and e-mail services as well as the three new programs listed above."
I'm flying on a KLM MD-11 to Delhi next week and I was wondering how may of the 10 aircraft have been refitted.
Back in May, it seemed as though 3 aircraft had been refitted.

Yesterday KL AMS-PTY MD11 was refurbished.
The inflight entertainment controls are better than VS, at least you don't turn on the light when you move in your seat.
