Flying EK to KUL from Jakarta this week in Biz Class. Was just wondering if anyone has been to the Business lounge in Jakarta and what is it like.Worth going early to enjoy it or just head straiht to the gate.
Also if anyone has tried EK Biz Class on this sector can u share your experience.
It's not. EK uses the Pura Indah or whatever it's called, or you can go to the one next door as well (shared lounge as well, have been there on CX J and as a Star Gold in SQ Y). They are equally crappy.
The third lounge in this area is the Esplanade lounge, used for SQ F at least. It's better but not accessible as EK J pax.
There is no Garuda Indonesia lounge in the "D" area.
The Pura Indah indeed has showers, but I recall I'd rather not have used the toilet there, so probably not the shower either.

Oh well, I hope the 2 hour flight will compensate for the crappy lounges. I was informed that this month is the last for EK on the KUL - CGK sector. As of next month both cities will be served non stop from and to Dubai. That's too bad, you don't get a chance of flying the 777-300 ER on a two hour flight

KUL has better loungers in my opinion anyway. I use to have that KE cardboard pin-up at home thats on display at the lounge in CGK My ex-wife trashed it, she could not stand seeing the dark figure when entering our home at night.
