The Singapore Airlines Tropical Megatop.

Silly SIA. You should have put that on all of your planes.

You made a mistake. Shame on you!

At Singapore Changi Airport, the Gulfair A340-300 in the 50th Anniversary "calligraphy" livery A4O-LD is a very regular sighting.

Up till the time when the SIA Tropical Megatop was still flying around, I could swear that the Gulfair beauty was a more common sight, often doing the BAH-SIN-SYD route.

Thai's A300-600R HS-TAO in the Star Alliance livery is also quite a regular visitor, as are Qantas' Wunala Dreaming VH-OJB and F1 Melbourne Grand Prix VH-OJC (QF operates so many flights to SIN and chances of these visiting are consequently higher).

CX Flyboy, have you actually flown B-HOX (as pilot)?
Which type of aircraft do you fly?

I think I see VH-ANA, the Sydney 2000 plane from Ansett Australia, more than ever. Even more than B-HOX (in HKG). Or should I call VH-ANB the special color scheme?

Those ghastly Qantas 744s painted in Wunala Dreaming and Nalanji something or other schemes(aboriginal). I have never seen an uglier scheme than those.

I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

I saw the SAA Special Scheme at LHR every time I went there. Different airlines Star Alliance schemes are above that, but I have seen BD, UA, Austrian, etc.

Hi,
I took some photos of:
QF Wunala Dreaming, Nalanji Dreaming, F1
South African 743 "Ndizani"
Condor 752 Rizzibird
Aero Lloyd "Trigema"
AC 340 Star Alliance
LH 340 Star Alliance
ANA 744 Pokemon (very, very often here at FRA)
SQ 744 Tropical
LH 742F Africa
LH 321 "Maus"-sticker
LH 744 "Expo"
Tyrolean Dash 8 "Sounds of Silence"
America West 752 "Working Together" at SEA
the old 707 "Air Force One"
and I saw following jets without having a camera in my hand:
UA 767 Star Alliance at MUC
CX 742 "Spirit of Hongkong"
RG MD-11 (I don´t know how that special paint is called)
TG 744 Royal Barge
CO 772 Peter Max-colors when I departed to SEA

I think that´s all.
Regards from FRA
Ivica

Ryaneverest,

I fly the 747-400s, and yes I have flown on B-HOX several times. Fortunately from the inside, it is the same as the others, except for a plasticised card for the pax to say that they have flown on the Spirit Of Hong Kong.

Japan Airlines B747-300, Reso'cha. In daily NRT-SEL JL951/2.

BTW, what date is Thai King's birthday? I think I've seen Thai put '72th anniversary' sticker on its fuselages over 5 months.

I agree, Qantas' scheme of aboriginal paintings doesn't fit in at all with the colours.
I think they should have something LESS ghastly and put on something that represents Australia - eg. Ayers Rock etc.

That scheme is truly ghastly and I hope they get rid of it soon!!!
I love the SIA Tropical Megatop - if only it were still with us.

I like both Wunala Dreaming(744) & Nalanji Dreaming (743), and I have photos of them in NZAA...they are probably the most common colour schemes to come into NZAA(maybe 2-3times per month), though VH OJC is also seen quite often.
