I'm a little surprised that WN is not doing the same for the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

More and more people are spreading out the period they travel for turkey day. The rush can start as early as the weekend before and pax spread out on flights throughout the week, though the Wednesday before T.D. is always high volume.

No one really can afford to wait to return after T.D. as most people are back to work/school that following Monday. They all want to spend as much time as possible with family, and thus while traveling on different days of the week to get to T.D., everyone tries to get back at the same time.

I'm actually traveling on WN the days before - I fly back home Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The flights are pretty expensive to fly back on Wednesday.

Tuesday and Wednesday are typically full days for the schedule for WN; they fly a reduced schedule on Saturday and Sunday, so they have some idle planes to put into service on those two days after Thanksgiving.
