After doing a quick search on a.net that turned up nothing, I thought I'd ask,
after looking at some airline pics, I noticed that Aero Republica's livery is almost identical to Continentals (even down to the wing tips). The only differance being the tail, which still is pretty close (globe, w/ white and gold, same position on both aircraft, with blue background)

No but Continental used to have a major stake in Copa, and therefore in AeroRepública as well. They still do codesharing and ff (OnePass) arrangements, however.

I don't know if there is a direct affiliation between CO and Aero Republica, but CM bought a stake in Aero Republica and hence both airlines with the same livery. Also, frequent flyers on any of the 3 airlines can earn valuable miles with OnePass.

CO owned as much as 49% of CM (1998) and eventually P5 through their parent company Copa Holdings but that stake was reduced to 27% in late 2005, then to 10% in 2006, and to 0% as of last May. However, they reportedly plan to keep their ongoing arrangements (as stated above) through 2015.
