Hey Leo. There is a link on KE's website that shows the interior configurations of its fleet and the routes and days of the week when the new-configured planes are used. Sadly it does not contain a list of registrations.

Thanks for that.

Anybody with some more knowledge about KE?

Thanks for looking around, but that is actually for their 747-400ERF. The MTOW for their 744s is 394ton or 850,000lbs.

So which KE 744's are stilled planned for conversion into BCF and which ones will remain in service for a while with the new cabins? and for how long?

KE's B747-400 Pax are certified with 857.000LBS MTOW ( = 388.727KG )

KE's B747-400 Freighter are certified with 870.000LBS MTOW ( = 394.625KG ) - BCF have same limitations, but their DOW is approx 362.000LBS, compared to normal freighters with around 350.000LBS. Make a hugh payload difference !

KE's B747-400 ERF are certified with 910.000LBS MTOW ( = 412.795KG )

if anybody needs regos, let me know ....

This information should be accurate as of last week.

HL7607, HL7484, HL7485 and HL7486 are the last four 747-400s with the old products. They should be converted soon, if they haven't started already. They're mostly flying intra-Asia routes at the moment.

HL7402, HL7404, HL7460, HL7461, HL7465, HL7473, HL7488, HL7489, HL7493, HL7494, HL7495 have the older type of flat-bed first class seats, new business class seats and new economy class with AVOD in all classes. They generally fly to London, Paris, Vancouver, Atlanta, Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda and Osaka

HL7472, HL7487, HL7490, HL7491, HL7492 have the new flat-bed seats in first class, new business class seats and new economy class seats with AVOD in all classes. They are generally used to Frankfurt, Los Angeles and New York City

HL7412, HL7482, HL7483 have already been converted to freighters.

If you got that data from the JP airfleets book, then regarding the 744's it is wrong, as 857k lbs is not a boeing MTOW option! The book was my first source but checking boeing documents proved it wrong.

Just like the JP book states UA's 744's at 870k even though they have 875k.

Forgot to add HL7498 to the list of planes with the new first, business and economy class.

Thanks for that great list! Will these planes receive the new first seats?

You're welcome. Those planes should receive the new first class seats eventually, but KE is focused on getting the 777s and A330s AVOD and new seats first. The 744s that already have the new first class seats only got them because they didn't have flat seats at all prior to the refurbishment.

Makes perfect sense, thanks again! Those 330s really do need some new seats...

I thought I heard that there were 6 744s that weren't getting reconfigured? These would be 4 of them I'd have thought? And will these be the ones used to AKL/SYD over the Northern Winter?

this is a little bit out of topic, but what about 777s? Did they start upgrading their 772s or any other fleets except 744s? Also, I think they have two different kind of new cabins. I was on their new 772's, and their design of new seats were different even though both were new refurbished cabin (couch). One of them had a bigger and wider screen. Why do they have two different kinds of cabin? Which one are they going to retrofit for their new cabin for the future?
Is there any 744s that retrofitted with wider screen seat in couch?
