I was doing a little bit of "research" on (north) transatlantic MD11s (by European airlines) and there doesn't seem to be a huge number.
Our own Aer Lingus currently operates a wet-leased World aircraft, until October. Citybird operates to EWR on behalf of Sabena (anywhere else?). Swissair is by far the largest, but one airline I could not find was Martinair. Does anyone know where MP flies its MDs? All of their current t/a schedule appears to be with 767s and the odd 747.

As of MartinAir concerned I don't know for sure on which routes they operate the MD-11. One thing I know fore sure is that they use it on its transatlantic flights to both the US and Canada. (I don't know which destinations/days). Could be Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, Oakland, Newark, Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary (don't know if they still fly there)

KLM flies transatlantic MD11s to San Francisco, Vancouver, Memphis and I believe Montreal.

Sabena also uses some MD11s on its transatlantic routes. These MD11s are leased from Cityjet. I think Sabena flies them to Cincinnati????

Kaitak-- Martinair does some cargo routes to Campinas in Sao Paulo, Brazil (Viracopos Airport). I have seen some pictures of its MD-11 there, plus I heard from some friends that live in SP. I also know that they fly here to the US to various destinations. Don't know exactly but some might include Los Angeles, Miami, Memphis, Atlanta, Toronto, Newark....

Cheers.

Sabena flies B743 to Cincinnati, no Sabena MD11s into this portion of the world.

Finnair operates MD-11's from Helsinki to New York, San Francisco, and Toronto. I just came back from SFO while a Finnair flight was turning around between flights. If you want to go cargo Lufthansa Cargo operates it's MD-11F's into N. America. Also Martinair Cargo flew a MD-11 into SFO this morning.

Moi,
Kai

Sabena flies the MD11 to Newark and Montreal.
They are leased from Citybird, but both pilots and cabin crew are from Sabena.
As from November, they will fly them to Johannesburg and Montreal.
EWR will get the Airbus.

Martinair does operate the MD11 on cargo flights to Buenos Aires and also Santiago. Another MD11 operator is argentinian cargo airline STAF with one leased from World but in full colours.

Alitalia operates the MD-11 from MXP to LAX. I have in the past seen an AZ MD-11 in Chicago (early 1990s) and flew one from JFK-FCO in June, 1997. Although, that flight was originally scheduled to be a 767 and was changed at the last minute.
