Hey Guys,

Just curious. In the past month a few cargo operations have become scheduled to UIO and I find that GREAT. I say this because I Was tired of the typical sporadic visit you never knew about of a unique 747/767 etc.

Lately, every Saturday a Cubana TU204 has been coming. just this weekend I spotted it. Also, on Sundays a World 744 has been coming for Lufthansa Cargo! Thats weird. These two are rather rare, and I never heard of them before. Does anybody know more about these. Will LH cargo ever send the MD11? Anything new?

Also, thursdays, MAS AIR is coming on a scheduled basis with a 767, and on fridays we always get a Southern Air 743 for Lan Cargo/Florida West. Thats basically it besides the typical UPS we get, and the other which we NEVER know about. (Arrow, Lan Cargo, Florida West, LAS, Aerosucre, Atlas, Martin Air, Tampa). Who knows of any toher schedulesd I dont know

Last, anyone know if any new cargo operators will fly to UIO? There was a hread long ago about a airline that would fly from ALASKA to UIO with a 747. No clue?

Stefano

I haven't heard anything like that so far. But in 2009 a few routes we fly for DHL will be done by AeroLogic (if they start their operation then) and then we have a few aircrafts which needs to be flown somewhere. I've heard the north america market is still strong, looks like we add a few new routes there (like YYZ now). And it can happen that we start flying to South America more often and new destinations as well. not only VCP and EZE, like we do now.

1-How about Centurion? Gemini was a regular in Ecuador when they were around right?

1-Does GYE get all the cargo stuff UIO does or they get less?

Interestingly, Miami gets neither of those two cargo airlines.

It would be nice to see a dedicated cargo airline from Ecuador again, like Aeca or Andes

Not with their own dedicated aircraft, but LAN Cargo flies MIA-FRA 3w on behalf of Lufthansa Cargo.

Centurion doesn't come any more, Cielos and gemini, no more. What other cargo comes here... basically thats it. I would love to see LH cargo around, and maybe see some others. Its a pity we dont have other rare stuff coming in. But I cant complain!

Yes, there was a plan to start up new cargo airline but so far, just a plan! If anyone know anything knew, let me know!
