Did any spotters get any photos of a Virgin Blue B737 at San Jose International (KSJC)? I was driving by the airport on southbound Interstate 880 at approximately 1100 hrs (PDT) today when I saw a Virgin Blue 737 turning on to Rwy 30R. I couldn't safely stop to get the registration number or take any pictures. I am hoping one of the regular SJC spotters was there. Could it be a ferry flight to or from Australia?

Is it possible you actually saw a Virgin Blue E-190 ? Looks like one ferried in from Brownsville on its way to Hawaii.

I'd also seen a Virgin Blue E-190 at LIH on September 09, 2008. I'm sure it was a ferry flight.

Thanks Falcon & Western 10-10! I am sure you are both right. I never thought about that! I was driving by the airport at 65 MPH and started to slow down as I saw a bright red two engined aircraft turning on to Rwy 30R. I am used to seeing WN at KSJC so I automatically thought 737. I saw the aircraft as it was turning and mainly saw the port side and aft section. I thought, when did Virgin start flying to KSJC? Until it flashed on me that it was Virgin Blue. Then I realized it must be a ferry flight. I would still love to see some photos from any KSJC spotters if anyone got that lucky!

Thanks Whosee! I live in the outbound flightpath and work near the incoming flightpath (for normal ops), and often eat lunch near the airport so I can watch incoming aircraft, but I have not been fortunate to see these aircraft before. Thanks also to Ben Wang for catching them!!!
