Saw Hewa Bora's B767 in FBM today. Registration 9Q-CJD.
This aircraft formerly flew for Air Gabon (in fact the palates being unloaded were still marked Air Gabon).
I thought this airplane had been repo'd for financial issues last summer - but apparently HBA has the cash to fly it. Airfleets.Net is reporting HBA just resumed operating this aircraft in August.
It normally does the lucrative FIH - BRU route, however it also fills in on FIH - FBM - JNB. Upon departure from FBM this afternoon, it headed south towards JNB, and will be there tonight, returning to FBM tomorrow AM, FIH in the afternoon, and likely in BRU tomorrow night.
It does mark a return of HBA to European airspace, as their L1011 was blacklisted last year and they eventually got rid of it.
Anybody else know more on this aircraft's operation?

I don't think they are allowed to fly to the EU currently so little chances to see that plane come to BRU in the near term. They were allowed to ferry it out of BRU only after a long time on the ground and some repairs. I'd love to see any DR Congo plane visiting us on a regular basis.
