I noticed 2 seating configs on CO's website, and SeatExpert says that all aircraft will ultimately be migrated to the 50J/235Y config. I was just curious as to how much of the CO 777 fleet has already been converted.
I'll be taking my first CO777 trip in November, and noticed that the newer config offers in-seat power in every seat, versus only a selection of rows.

Continental has 13 of their current 20 777's in the new configuration.
Ships 001-003, 010, 011, 013-020 have all been reconfigured...
They may have one more reconfigured by November but that’s about it.

Quoting AA737-823 (Reply 4): You too. He missed one in the "haves" list, and you duplicated one in the "have nots" list. I'd be curious to know which goes where.

This is good news, I'm flying IAH to CDG on Saturday (10/11) and hope to on one of the 777's upgraded with AVOD. Been watching the schedule of planes on this same route for the past two weeks but I don't understand the rotation of equipment regarding the IAH/CDG and CDG/IAH routes.

Ship 014 has been quite active on the IAH-CDG-IAH route recently, however, the 777's do get rotated through EWR too, as they then route EWR-HKG for maintenance, before returning to EWR and onward to CDG or LHR for rotation back into the system.
For example, LHR has been flying ship 010 and 018 on EWR and IAH respectively, for the past few days. Ship 018 will switch to ship 001 today for IAH-LHR though, and CO4 tomorrow, (IAH-LHR) will operate with ship 014, while CO10 (IAH-CDG) tomorrow will operate with ship 001, once it returns to IAH from LHR.

Thanks for the inside scoop LHR777, I now understand the rotation process perfectly....
I'm predicting I'll be on #10 for the Saturday (10/11) flight from IAH to CDG. What's your estimate? Definitely need the AVOD equipped bird!

Check the seat map 24 hr before the flight : if BF shows row 6 with the 2 middle seats DG, then it's the plane with AVOD in both cabin, and in YC, it does not have row 32 ( the exit row in non AVOD 777s )...
Since last year, I have done 2 RTs EWR HKG in BF, 1 RT EWR HKG in YC, and 1 RT IAH NRT in BF, and I got the AVOD 777 only once.
I will be doing EWR PEK late Nov. Right now the outbound shows the converted 777, the return still shows the crappy old IFE.
