I was just wondering if anyone has any info on the current status with the EU Ban and TAAG. It has been over a year since they were banned and it seems that they have made little or no efforts to get themselves un-banned.
Also, does anyone know what specific problems TAAG has that are causing them to be banned? I remember reading something about weight/balance issues.
I believe TAAG has had one crash in its history of operation, which was the 737-200 in M'Banza Kongo shortly after they were banned back in the summer of 2007.
For anyone interested, TAAG currently has 3 777-200ER's (D2-TEE, D2-TED, D2-TEF), 2 747-300M's (D2-TEB, D2-TEA), 4 737-700's (D2-TBG, D2-TBF, D2-TBH, D2-???), 1 737-200, and 2 727's. They have also wetleased 2 747-400's from SA to fly their LAD-LIS-LAD route.
TAAG flies LAD-DXB, LAD-JNB, and LAD-GIG with their own metal and will be flying LAD-PEK soon.
Lastly, it seems that TAAG has a new website. While it doesn't function properly yet, it does look like it has potential.
