I asked because I was wondering about payload restricitons for aircraft like the 737 when flying out of CYB. CYB-MIA is only 450 miles or so, but on a hot summer day, it still sounds a bit challenging.
KX has one 732 left in the fleet; however it is currently idle at GCM and is used on rare occasions. Cayman Airways recently expressed an interest in acquiring two Embraer 170 jets; however those plans are now on hold. Instead, Cayman Airways will short-lease another 733 soon for the upcoming winter season.

Just nitpicking here, but although the press release says IAD is twice weekly and that is the info going around the sight, there are actually three weekly flights bookable online.
The Cayman Brac flights will be routed GCM-CYB-MIA-CYB-GCM, so hopefully they won't be too empty as GCM passengers will be able to book he flight, and it will only add 20-30 minutes to the travel time (GCM-CYB is a 10 minute segment, and they usually turn the 733 in about 15 minutes in CYB).
