New U.S. Code-share To Russia

One new code-share for each of the US major airlines.


These code-share services do not affect travelers much because of existing strong alliances. I am flying DME-SFO and had no problems with flights on Star. However the U.S. airlines are now able to sell the tickets, so this is good.
Two questions I have: Why was Germany left out? and the impact on SQ's DME-IAH service?

Why is UA codesharing if it plans on using it's own metal? Same thing with AA? So they can offer better connection opportunities?
