Emirates airlines is to expand its operations here by adding five more flights each to Bangalore and Chennai apart from operating three-more-flights-a-week to Hyderabad.

The expansion will also see Emirates operate seven additional flights to Mumbai, thereby offering passengers five flights a day to Dubai, while passengers from Kochi will soon be able to fly twice-a-day to Dubai as the airline plans to operate 14 flights a week between the two cities.

Similarly, passengers from Delhi will soon have the option of choosing from three daily flights when they travel to Dubai.

When they get their larger volume A380 they will send them to India.

This is all good, but what about Pakistan?

Has anyone got any information on any plans for expansion to Pakistan?

Thank you for the summary. 8X weekly to AMD and TRV?!? that is interesting... Do they serve every day or do multiple days serve multiple EK waves?

Which leaves the question of when? I would expect EK to aquire more A380's for DXB to Europe prior to high density. Then I would expect the Indian cities to receive A380 service in order of frequency. (e.g., BOM, DEL, BLR, HYD, and MAA before any of the others are considered).

With a thread about KLM reducing HYD service... this expansion is interesting.

AMD:

Mo:1, We:2, Fr:2, Sa:1, Su:2

TRV is daily and on Tuesday is an extra flight

Well even the regular A380s, not the high density ones, will be deployed to BOM once the airport is ready. The high density A380 is most likely to be deployed to COK.

Really? What is the demand for F class traffic to BOM? (Does anyone know seats/day for EK, load factor, or anything?)

Thank you for the information on AMD and TRV.

Now for the tricky question, does anyone know the aircraft size distributions to each city? e.g., 773 (or W), A332, etc.? Which cities receive 'premium configurations?'

Thanks in advance,
Lightsaber

All of the 4 daily flights have First class, and are mostly full. out of the 4 daily flights 3 are B777-300 and B777-300ER versions and one is an A330-200.

TRV,CCU are all A330-200 operations ; CCJ is all B772; AMD is mostly A332 with one or two B772. Remaining all are a healthy mix of A332/B772/B773/B77W.

Amazing growth - 3 daily 772/332 to BLR/HYD - this is when KL is stopping their HYD services or 9W/IT are reconsidering their BLR services!

Looks like it'll soon be time when everyone has only one FFP a/c that matters - Skywards!

Thank you. I'm so used to reading about 'high density EK flights to India' that I missed that important tidbit.
