Mokulele Back In The Air After FAA’s One-Day Suspension

Hawaii’s Mokulele Airlines is flying again after a routine FAA inspection found the carrier had not been providing the training required under its operating certificate.

FAA asked Mokulele to stop flying Oct. 21 until its cabin crews were properly trained in how to use life preservers and fire extinguishers, said spokesman Ian Gregor. “Mokulele was responsive to our request. They suspended their operations and conducted a massive training effort to get pilots the required training,” he said. Mokulele resumed operations Wednesday morning.
