USA3000 is returning to the Saint Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. While they are only starting with service to Chicago, they are leaving the door open for further expansion.

Wonder if they're going to restart MLB too...

They seemed to do really well on their flight to BWI

Not too shocking, I heard rumors of this a few days ago, and I'm glad they are true.

Looking at their schedule for this new service, one can obviously see that USA3000 is at the bottum of the heap when it comes to obtaining better landing slots at OHare...

I guess the departure at 435pm is okay....but that return time to OHare of 1115pm at night makes it impossible for people in outlying areas that use regional bus transportation such as Van Galder to Rockford and beyond. Of course, I guess that USA3000 is not concerned about people in outlyng areas.

There are no longer any slots at ORD.

FAA lifted the limitations this fall following the new runway opening. Airlines can schedule as they wish.

Great news for PIE

I guess those flight times are because the aircraft will go somewhere like CUN at the start of the day - and routes like CUN are the priority since Apple Vacations fill most of the seats. The Florida flying is just to improve utilisation isn't it?

The FAA has been pretty wishy-washy on what they're actually going to do, and AFAIK hasn't actually published a rule regarding operations with the new runway open.

That said, it's an academic question here. U5 gets 8 arrivals and departures whenever they wish-- they aren't at the bottom of the heap.

They are to start DTW/PIE service sometime. At least that is what we T/As have been hearing from the airlines. I know that is one of Apples Vacation spots.
