According to several Dutch news outlets this morning, AF-KLM is about to announce their investment in Alitalia, totalling a 15-20% of the shares of the new Alitalia. Lufthansa and British Airways are believed to lost their interest in a share.

See here: http://www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/2...italia_deels_van_KLM__.html?p=14,2

and here: http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/news/?ID=28289

Both are in Dutch.

Cheers!  wave

seems like AF and LH are going to expand along traditional aliance lines rather than trying to one-up each other- LH takes OS and AF takes AZ.

Quite disappointing that they will continue to focus operations out of Rome.
