Dutch Media: AF-KLM To Buy 15-20% Of Alitalia

According to several Dutch news outlets this morning, AF-KLM is about to announce their investment in Alitalia, totalling a 15-20% of the shares of the new Alitalia. Lufthansa and British Airways are believed to lost their interest in a share.

Well, according to another thread, LH is starting up "LH Italy", so that seems to complent this news.

seems like AF and LH are going to expand along traditional aliance lines rather than trying to one-up each other- LH takes OS and AF takes AZ.

CAI will hire 12,000 workers with the following bases:

Rome Fiumicino - 9,082 (978 pilots, 2,100 flight assistants and 6,004 ground workers)
Milan Malpensa - 1,343 (333 pilots, 710 flight assistants, 310 ground workers)

There are also workers based in Turin, Venice, Naples and Catania.
