Some weeks ago I heard that LH is going to store some of their A300s during the winter. According to another website D-AIAN, -AR and -AS were ferried to DRS past weekend. Maybe another two will follow.
I guess the remaining ones will do a lot of FRA-TXL/MUC/HAM runs and sometimes if the capacity is needed intraeuropean flights (e.g. ATH, FCO, ARN, LHR...). Nevertheless they have a lot of A321s to recover the loss of capacity.

It makes sense as those birds burn a lot of fuel.
There was a rumour that BA would do the same with their shorthaul 767s during the w08 schedule but in the end..here they are!!

Quoting DALCE (Reply 2): Aren't those the ABA's equipped for long-haul ops??
Affirm. They will be withdrawn from service according to a letter to all LH pilots by chief pilot Mr. Knorr. He didn't mention if this will be permanent or just for the time being while LH waits for market conditions to improve again.

Shame, I really like those aircraft for the job I do with LH Cargo.
They are a true workhorse and transport lots of kg's within Europe to destinations that only LH can.
Zanair flight, please hold on finals as we have to clear rhino's off the runway. Next flight: AMS-FRA-SIN-FRA-AMS
