Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew the story on these two aircraft. I flew into MIA a week ago and noticed an Air France Airbus 318 (which I understand cannot fly transatlantic from there) and an Icelandair 757(FI does not service Miami, right?) sitting at the gates.

I believe the Icelandair 757 is TF-FIS. It's leased to Santa Barbara Airlines of Venezuela.

The Air France aircraft is actually an A320. It's based in the Caribbean and connects PAP, PTP, FDF, and CAY with MIA.

Quoting KLMflyer (Reply 2):
AF flies:
AF 3949 MIA/PAP/PTP on Mo/Tu/Th/Fr/Sa
and
AF 3952 PTP/PAP/MIA on Mo/We/Th/Fr/Su
using A320 family equipment

Longer schedule than that. Depending on the day and time of year, it is CAY-FDF-PTP-PAP-MIA; FDF-PTP-PAP-MIA, or FDF-PAP-MIA.

TF-FIY flying for Santa Barbara Airlines. Soon it will be TF-FIA as TF-FIY is going for C-check and then TF-FIJ will come back from C-Check mid November and operate for Santa Barbara and TF-FIA will go home to Iceland

Will FI respray the aircraft in Santa Barbara colors? Having said that I really like the Loftleidir Icelandic livery. It's great to see that eagle back on the tail of an Icelandic bird again.

No the airplane will stay in Icelandair colors as far as I can tell and the eagle won't be back if I recall correctly.
