This small airport must be doing great for Ryanair. Two domestic routes as well, very nice

Except for CRL, none of the new destinations are bases. Will this mean that TPS will become a small (1 aircraft) base, or will they operate W-patterns?

Especially after quiting VLC, FR must have some aircraft available to reposition.

By the way, does anyone know if NRN-TPS is supposed to restart next summer?

It looks like FR wants to invest as much as possible in Italy in this period of uncertainty about the future of Alitalia.

New Trapani base:

Well, in one year Ryanair will grow from 3 to 7 bases in Italy, 3 of which are on the islands. I expect TPS to attract quite some tourism to Sicily, although it will also attract VFR-traffic, which is particularly strong from Germany and Belgium. During the summer, you can find Belgian and German cars in every little village in Sicily, of people returning to see their family.

Reverses plans for Forli base:

Not unexpected, considering the routes were removed from the booking system already. Also, some routes were also offered from BLQ, which I expect to be higher-yielding.

I have my doubts about the loss of tourism spendings in Emilia-Romagna as a result of not making a base in FRL. Only domestic routes were offered and I expect these routes to attract mainly VFR and business traffic, but not so much tourism spendings. Well, it's a standard copy & paste text they include in every announcement of stopping services.

The Trapani aircraft will be used to operate the following routes:

New: BVA, CRL, TRF, TRN, TSF
Existing: BGY, BHX, CIA, GRO, LTN

Routes to/from NRN, NYO, BLQ and PSA are operated by aircraft from these bases.

Information about routes to DUB, HHN and BRE is not available yet.
