Pretty self-explanitory eh?

Just wondering how often you fly... is it for business, pleasure, family... or are you a pilot or F/A?

Either way - please share your experiences.

Kindest Regards,

As a passenger, I've been averaging about 20 flights a year lately. Usually most being between Denver and the Virgina/North Carolina area.

Once a week for about 1.5... i go up and practice maneuvers and usually bring a friend with me and try to turn he/she green. Its alot of fun buzzing down the coast and stuff. Ill take my instructor up with me sometimes to make sure im keeping my maneuvers in tip top shape. This friday i ahve a ride with my instructor. Ill bring ROTC students up with me and practice teaching them, even though they cant actually log the time... its good experience for both of us.

48 flights so far this year for about 30,000 miles. Figure to end the year around 120k. Most of that has been business travel.

Grew up as an airline brat, so at least constant travel isn't a particularly alien concept to me. Crossed my first million miles at age 15 and lost track since then. Gotta be mighty close to the next million by now.

I usually do only about 10-20 flights a year (if connecions are counted as separate flights).

4-8 intercontinental (SFO/JFK/ORD - FRA/MUC)
4-6 cross country USA (SFO-ORD/JFK/DTW or similar)
~8-10 short fights (<2h) in USA and Europe.

I used to fly every year when I lived in Russia, up until 1990. Since then I had 4 flights. So I would love to travel more often...

I'm well over 1 million miles. Probably nearing 2 million...but I couldn't say for sure. I just haven't kept track for a long time. It just depends on my schedule as to how much I travel in any given month. Could be as much as 5 or 8 trips or as few as 3. I usually average around 5 trips per month.

As a student, none of my trips are biz-related. I'm just taking advantage of my NRSA status while I can.

I love America. I guess that makes me Bush's poodle, but I'd rather be a dog in New York City than a prince in Riyadh.

For me flying is always a special ocasion. I normally don't fly much, about 4 times a year and mainly for plesure, but also I had some business trips. This year I'll do with my family one to USA again where I hope to fly 7 times. I always take note the type of aircraft and registration so I can remember latter.

Two trips or so a year. Had it been cheaper, I'd probably fly once a month or something.  Smile

I usually fly LHR - BKK about 6 times a year. Then, a European flight probably once every two months. So I guess once a month on average.

Depends, in the last 3 years I have flown only twice, but before I had times when I would fly something like 20+ times a year, and other times when I would fly 5-10 times a year- all vacation thus far.

I usually manage 1-2 flights from Australia-Europe a year (usually 4-6 longhaul sectors - eg: MEL-KUL-VIE and rtn - and 4 shorthaul involved - eg: ADL-MEL rtn and VIE-BRU rtn)

Then there are 4 annual return trips from uni (CBR) to home (ADL) which is usually 2 sectors per oneway journey with a stop in either SYD or MEL

This year, being on exchange to Paris is an exception: so far I have had 14 flights (from Australia through pacific and Sth America to Europe then 2 return flights within Europe)

I fly a lot. I only have about 70 hours for the month of March. I have 5 turns for Skyservice, and I will be doing 3 Calgary layovers for Roots Air, and 1 Calgary turn for Roots Air as well. I did an average of 100 hours/month from Nov - Feb.
In the summer, I fly about 65-80 hours/month, depending on how long the overseas pairings are that I bid for. Last summer I was in Europe once a week, sometimes more. I hope to do mostly overseas flying this summer, and about 1 or 2 Roots Air layovers or turns just for a change. Love the shopping in Europe. Pescara, Rome, Venice & Dublin. I have yet to hold a Palma layover. I hear it's very nice. Maybe this summer.

Fly safe!
