In a 60th-anniversary historical document (which I have) for my hometown airport, FWA (Fort Wayne, IN) from 2001, there is a list of present and former airlines that have served FWA, including Republic, Britt, and others, as well as UA, US, AA, DL, NW, PI, etc.
When did Republic serve FWA? And with what type(s)?

Not in the 10/84 OAG; in the 1/85 they've got Convairs to DTW; later in 1985 they mixed DC9/D9S with the Convairs. Lasted until the merger, apparently.
(Probably not before 1984, either, but I only checked about eight RC timetables.)

Per the October 28,1984 RC timetable, announcing new service to: Buffalo, Oklahoma City, Rochester,NY , South Bend, Hartford, and Fort Wayne. FWA had 4 trips to DTW per day M-F, 3 Sa and 2 Su. Assuming all CVR. The service to SBN was a reintroduction of service there.
